Objectives:

The objectives of an economics department can include studying and analyzing economic issues, preparing students for careers, preparing students for careers, and contributing to socio-economic development.

• Teaching economic principles- Introduce students to economic theories, concepts and principles.
• Developing decision-making skills- Help students develop the skills to make informed decisions.
• Developing an understanding of statistics– Help students develop an understanding of basic statistics, econometrics and regression
• Developing critical thinking- Help students think through problems they’ll face in their careers
• Developing communication skills- Help students communicate economic analysis and thought in written and oral context.
• Developing an understanding of Economic Developments- Help students become familiar with economic developments in the world economy.
